Timber has been the product of choice in construction of infrastructure projects for centuries. Bridges, jetties, wharves and many other public installations were built using timber. The major reasons were that it was easily sourced and produced, simple to use, cost effective and long lasting. The same reasons timber is often the product of choice still today.

Native Australian hardwoods are among the strongest and most durable timber species in the world, and as such are well suited for use in outdoor infrastructure construction. In fact, they are the most sought after species by designers and contractors.
