White Cypress

Cypress is durability class 1 for use above-ground and class 2 for in-ground contact. It has a wide band of sapwood that is resistant to lyctus attack.

It readily accepts paint, stain and polish. It can be abrasive to machine cutters and tools due to the presence of silica.

Cypress can be used as unseasoned timber in general house framing, fencing, landscaping and retaining walls.
